Coronavirus Lockdown: Sonu Sood Organises Transport Buses For Hundreds Of Migrants Stuck In Mumbai
Sonu Sood becomes the first B-town celeb to organise multiple transport buses for hundreds of migrants stuck in Mumbai amid nationwide lockdown.
Sonu Sood is one of the finest actors in Bollywood and during the lockdown he has proved to be a real-life hero too. Amid lockdown, people are advised to stay home and stay safe to curb the spread of this deadly virus. But the migrant workers and labourers are amongst the worst-hit section of the society, who are striving hard to reach out to their family in every possible way. We all know the train/bus services are shut and there is no other option left for these migrants but to walk down their final destination with limited money and food in hand.
But to help the people in need, Sonu Sood showed his golden heart and organized buses for the migrants so that they can reach their respective destinations. This afternoon, the Dabangg villain arranged buses and came to see off all the migrant workers stuck in Mumbai amid nation-wide-lockdown. The video surfaced on the Internet and has been going viral ever since.
Speaking about the same, Sonu Sood told IANS, “I strongly believe that in the current times when we are all facing this global health calamity, every Indian deserves to be with their families and dear ones. I've taken official permissions from the Maharashtra and Karnataka Governments to help these migrants reach home in about ten buses.”
He further added, “The Maharashtra government officials were very helpful in terms of organising the paperwork and a special mention to the Karnataka government for welcoming the migrants back home. It was really moving for me to watch these migrants walking on roads including the little kids and old parents. I shall continue doing the same for other states as well to the best of my abilities."
Not only this, but Sonu Sood has also donated over 1500 PE Kits to the doctors who are working relentlessly day and night to fight against this deadly virus. He even gave his hotels for quarantine facilities for the frontline workers. Sonu has also been arranging food for 25,000 Muslim workers during Ramzan.
